Delhi Education Project

Delhi Education Project

COVERAGE
In 2019, we expanded our work to semi-urban areas of Delhi with the “All Round School Improvement Programme” to address the learning deficits of underprivileged children. The project was funded by TATA AIG and IGL in 2019-20 and later only by TATA AIG in 2020-21. Thereafter, Aspire is funding the project.

Coverage

In 2019-20, the project impacted 4039 children directly and indirectly through remedial and support classes, workbooks, digital resources, and teachers training.
In 2020-21, the project impacted 1879 children in need of academic support. The Covid-19 pandemic led to the loss of employment for many of the children’s parents, putting them at risk of dropping out of school. This situation has caused frequent migration within villages and cities.
