COMMUNITY EDUCATION RESOURCE CENTRES (CERCs)

Community Education Resource Centers (CERCs) are institutions owned and managed by the local community that serve the community’s educational, cultural, and critical information needs in this digital age. They are equipped with computers, internet, printer, projector, a library, A/V content, material for arts & craft, STEM learning etc. They are a registered body with a separate community owned bank account.

Benefits of CERC

CERCs are part of Aspire and Tata Steel Foundation’s sustainability and exit plan in their joint project – the Education Signature Program. After completion of the project, community institutions like gram panchayats, youth, and self-help women groups will continue to use the CERCs to update their knowledge and information.
