In the remote, forested habitations of Sukinda Block, accessing secondary education meant walking 19–20 kilometres through rugged terrain and wildlife-prone routes. For many children — especially girls — continuing school was unsafe and uncertain.

Through collective advocacy, community action, and institutional support, a new hostel facility and a dedicated bus service have transformed access to education for 43 at-risk children.

What once stood as a barrier is now a pathway to opportunity.
