ASPIRE joins civil society, government, and adolescents in Ranchi to amplify young voices and strategies for ending child marriage.
ASPIRE participated in a series of consultations in Ranchi, organized by the Jharkhand Women Development Society in collaboration with UNICEF, to address the pressing issue of child marriage. Civil society organizations, government officials, and adolescents all contributed their perspectives, ensuring that young voices were at the center of strategy discussions.
Among the participants was Gangaram, a boy from ASPIRE’s Boys’ RBC in Samij, Anandpur Block, who joined the consultation on 16 September 2025. His journey reflects resilience and potential — after his father fell ill and his mother remarried, leaving him and his brother behind, ASPIRE’s support helped him continue his education and gain exposure to new experiences. At the consultation, Gangaram actively shared his insights alongside other adolescents, highlighting the importance of giving young people a platform to influence change.
✨ Gangaram’s story exemplifies how opportunities and guidance can empower adolescents from vulnerable backgrounds to contribute meaningfully to efforts ending child marriage.
