ASPIRE Hosts University of Notre Dame Research Team in Odisha

A team from the University of Notre Dame visited ASPIRE’s project areas to study innovative approaches in rural education and community empowerment.

From June 15–26, 2025, a research team from the University of Notre Dame, USA visited ASPIRE’s intervention areas in Odisha as part of their global I-Lab study on universal school enrolment and Child Labor Free Zones (CLFZs).

Drawn to ASPIRE’s work after discovering our website, the team engaged with schools, communities, and local governance bodies across three blocks in Keonjhar district—Banspal, Telkoi, and Champua. Their aim: to understand what drives enrolment, sustains child labor-free communities, and empowers local actors to protect children’s rights.This collaboration is a testament to ASPIRE’s growing global visibility and offers valuable opportunities for mutual learning and innovation in education and child protection.
